Join Us for the Fiddler Roof Cleaning Beach Clean Up!
Fiddler Roof Cleaning is expanding on our commitment of being an Eco-Friendly company by doing even more within our community to raise awareness about taking care of our planet. On Saturday, August 27th at 9:00am, in Delray Beach we will be hosting a beach cleanup in an effort to have some positive impact on our local environment. We invite you all to come out and participate in this event because not only will it be a great time to meet up with likeminds, but giving back to our planet, and our beautiful local South Florida beaches is the perfect way to feel great knowing you are a part of something really awesome. We’re doing this the old-fashioned way: with good, honest hard work, with gloves on to load up those trash bags.
Delray Beach is habitat to a wide range of species who call the beach and the ocean home, and sea turtles, dolphins, whales, sharks, stingrays, manta rays, marine birds, and fish of all species are susceptible to the dangers of consuming trash. Unfortunately, due to the amount of tourist and local traffic, South Florida beaches get unceremoniously trashed and littered upon, and this garbage poses a massive threat to the many species who confuse trash for edibles. From thousands of cigarette butts to water bottles, from paper scraps to straws; if it’s human refuse, and plastic, aluminum, or paper, it just doesn’t belong in the ocean or on the sand. So let’s do the right thing and clean this beach up!
Inspired by International Coastal Cleanup, whose 2015 mission to clean up beaches worldwide included in excess of 790,000 volunteers, more than 18,000,000 pounds of trash removed, across 25,188 miles of coastal land, we’re hoping to have an impact here in our community as well. The oceans remain one of our most threatened natural habitats throughout the world, and it truly is the responsibility of all of us to take part to ensure our beaches are clean.
If you can’t make the Fiddler Roof Cleaning Beach Cleanup, please remember at the least, to always pick up after yourself whenever you’re spending time in nature, and especially at the ocean. Additionally, if you happen to be hanging out at the seaside, and see cigarette butts and other trash laying around, do the right thing and pick it up; remember, it’s good karma! Other good tips for spreading awareness for trash-free beaches include educating others in a friendly positive manner, and eliminating as many one-time use items as possible to eliminate the continuous flow of trash in general.
So, come Saturday, August 27th at 9:00am we hope to see you at Delray Beach ready to spend the morning under the sun, listening to the lapping waves, as we do our part with a great cause to ensure a clean ocean environment during the Fiddler Roof Cleaning Beach Cleanup!
