Power Washing will damage your roof!
High-pressure equipment (heavy hoses and hover covers) spray your roof with highly pressurized water. This technique can vibrate, loosen and damage roof tiles, creating the potential for leaks. Each time a roof is pressure-washed, a thin layer of material is blown off the roof tiles themselves (see below pictures), leaving them more porous and able to get dirty faster. Even worse, pressurized water removes the visible dirt and mildew, but does not kill the mildew spores that exist in the porous tile surfaces. Your roof will need re-cleaning in about 6-12 months.
Fiddler Roof Cleaning uses a gentler, more effective method to clean your roof. We apply a cleaning solution using a low-pressure sprayer similar to a garden sprayer, exerting only 30 PSI (compared to the 3,000 PSI of a power-washing device). Our cleaning product eradicates all mildew, fungus and algae, including harmful microscopic spores. Your roof will stay clean longer than if pressure-washed.
